How to delete your account

You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app, at any time:

  1. Open Larova and make sure you are signed in.
  2. Go to Settings — the gear icon in the app.
  3. Scroll to the Account section and tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm when prompted. Your account and its data are deleted immediately.

If you own a group that still has other members, deletion is blocked until you either transfer ownership of that group to another member or delete the group. The app will tell you exactly which groups are holding things up. This protects other people's shared lists from disappearing without warning.

If you cannot access the app — for example you have already uninstalled it or lost access to your Google account — email [email protected] from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm the request and action it within 30 days.

What is deleted

Deleting your account immediately and permanently removes:

DataDetail
Account identity Your name, email address, and Google account ID, removed by deleting your authentication record.
Your profile Your user profile document, including your notification token and member preferences.
Groups only you belong to Every grocery list, item, recipe, ingredient, meal plan, pantry entry, and shared catalog entry in that group, plus all photos you uploaded to it.
Your memberships Your membership record and any pending join requests in groups shared with other people.

What is kept, and for how long

DataWhy, and retention period
Content you added to groups that other members still belong to Shared lists, recipes, and meal plans belong to the group rather than to one person, so they remain available to the remaining members. To remove this content, delete it in the app before deleting your account, or ask a remaining group member to remove it.
Subscription and purchase records Retained where we are required to keep transaction records for tax and accounting purposes. These records contain no content from your lists.
Crash and diagnostic reports Automatically collected crash logs and technical diagnostics are not linked to your name or email address, and are deleted automatically by Google Firebase Crashlytics within 90 days.

Deleting some of your data without deleting your account

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data. Inside the app you can, at any time:
